I've been hiking since I was old enough to tie my own boot laces. Growing up in Western Washington, my childhood was filled with family hikes and camping trips between the North Cascades and San Juan Islands. My love for beer, of course, came later. When I am not hiking or enjoying a pint, I write about my adventures for a variety of publications. Check out my portfolio for more info. Cheers!

For the past few years now I've been saying that if there is one thing I could write about for the rest of my life, it's beer. But it hasn't always been that way—my relationship with beer began as a resolution to come to terms with a beverage that seemed to be everywhere in my life. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, my father homebrewed his own beer in our garage when I was a child and every August as a family we spent a week beach-combing and hiking on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. In 2013, I earned my Master's Degree in Creative Writing. Now, I work as a copywriter for an online beer retailer. When not on the trail or savoring a new craft beer, I sew-retro dresses, and plan my next Canada Escape.
